Topshop's Snow Queen Christmas Campaign

Pics: Topshop

Topshop is beginning to launch its Christmas campaigns across stores (expect giant posters in the shop windows, hanging behind the tills and plastered across the website) and this season the 'Snow Queen' story stands out as strongest contender.

Styling whimsical, floaty layers and ruched chiffon mini dresses with heavy Camden-appropriate army boots is an easy look for the likes of Taylor Momsen and Madonna's daughter Lourdes to pull off but in reality most of us will need to take this look into more grown up, glamorous territory.

Don't take Topshop's edgy styling literally. Begin with angelic foundations like these pale printed and ruched dresses and then get the punky fix from heavily layered chain necklaces or a smokey eye.

House of Holland For Pretty Polly - New City Tights

Just when House of Holland's suspender tights were about to become overkill (spotted on Pixie Lott's and every cool kid from London to LA) master of hip Henry Holland has launched a fresh set of designs to make sure we don't get too tired of his Pretty Polly hook up. Fashion Editor would like to see the Eiffel Tower pair styled with red shorts, a stripy top and toe-cap pumps - tres chic. Pick from the Eiffel Tower, Hollywood letters, Big Ben or the Statue of Liberty.

Fashion Editor, Featured In New Fashion Book

Please excuse the shameful self promotion but everyone needs to know about this fashion book by Stephanie Finnan. Crammed with interviews, tips and insiders knowledge from people who work in the fashion industry - from designer, to PR, to journalist (like me!)

Stephanie asked me to contribute a while back now and I'm so pleased that I did - the results are brilliant. I only wish that this book had been available when I was studying at college, it certainly would have helped me to decide whether to venture into fashion journalism.

Please, please do take a look. It features a couple of pages about my career so far and about Fashion-Editor.com and if you, or anyone you know is interested in getting into fashion, this is the book for you.

Olivia Palermo Models Matches Label Freda (Watch The Behind The Scenes Video)

It seems that Olivia Palermo is a big fan of London boutique Matches. She chose the designer boutique as the exclusive stockist for her and Roberta Freymann's jewellery collaboration Roberta (see the collection of beautiful bib necklaces online at Matches) and now she's playing clotheshorse for Matches in house label Freda too. Known for laid back luxury pieces like this graphic print dress, Freda is a label to get to know and Fashion Editor loves seeing Olivia in action in the shots - somehow she just oozed chic. Better still, the behind the scenes video of the shoot gives an insiders peek into how she moves on set. Looks like a whole load of fun was had by all. Link through to matchesfashion.com to see the Olivia/Freda video now.

Victoria Beckham Handbags - The Wait Is On

Pics: IDSpicturedesk, Goff photos, Xposure, Camera Press

The coverage of the handbags gracing Victoria Beckham's spring/summer 2011 catwalk definitely beat her new dress designs in column inches post-show - everyone from The Times to Bag Snob wrote about them. There's nothing like seeing a new product in action though so a pat on the back for Victoria Beckham, mammoth power brand that she is, for really getting behind her designs and modelling them about town. Fashion Editor predicts the waiting list is already super-subscribed.
